A new month means a new National Trust site to explore.
I had seen the signs for Knightshayes when down in Tiverton in May for a rather eventful party. I hadn’t noticed it on the National Trust map, so I was excited to have discovered another site within a reasonable driving distance from my house. Finding the property was easier said than done, as it was like many sites, located down a series of winding roads.

Once we arrived we had a short walk from the car park behind the old stables, over to the main house, which was certainly gorgeous. Inside was beautifully laid out, but that wasn’t why we were there.
It’s the gardens of this property that make it somewhere to go. With a massive size and a range of different walking options, there is something for everyone.
There is a small woodland, a pond including a range of plants and fish, and a giant parkland you can walk around.
This led to a bit of fun and games, playing hide and seek with Tash the bear.

It was remarkably warm given the limited sunshine, which meant the day had to finish with an ice cream for everyone.
